Solution Architect

Role Summary:

The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure solutions that meet our business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of architectural principles, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Architecture: Develop detailed technical blueprints and architectural designs to address specific business problems.
• Designing Solutions: Create the overall technical vision for a specific solution to a business problem. This includes designing, describing, and managing the solution.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices are followed.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business goals and technical standards.
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams and technical specifications.
• Problem-Solving: Analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions to enhance performance, scalability, and security.
• Strategic Planning: Ensure new solutions fit into the existing enterprise architecture and align with the organizations long-term strategy.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our solutions. Assess current systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in solution architecture, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in software architecture, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and various programming languages. Possess deep knowledge of various technologies and frameworks, to be able to select the most suitable tools and platforms for the solution. In-depth understanding of coding languages, operating systems, and databases.
• Architectural Frameworks: Knowledge of TOGAF or other architectural frameworks.
• Project Management: Experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can support business goals.
• DevOps Practices: Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
• Security: Knowledge of IT security principles and practices.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, fostering collaboration and innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or similar.
• Industry Experience: Experience in Solution Architecture in a ITeS/IT organization serving global clients.
