Production Manager

Role & responsibilities

• In-depth knowledge of Bromine chemistry, chemical process engineering, and process optimization techniques.
• Lead and manage production operations in a Bromine and related chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production efficiency standards.
• Oversee the operation of chemical processes involving Bromine and related chemicals, optimizing production parameters to achieve high-quality outputs.
• Utilize expertise in PLC/DCS and SCADA systems to effectively manage automated manufacturing processes, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting as needed.
• Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet production targets while minimizing downtime and optimizing resource utilization.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance to resolve production issues and improve processes.
• Monitor and control batch production, ensuring batch yield optimization and reduction of shop floor wastage through efficient process management.
• Enforce adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality standards, and operational effectiveness.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
• Maintain accurate production records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Collaborate with R&D teams on process improvements, new product development, and scaling up of production processes.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and quality management systems.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels within the organization.
• Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety

Skills required:

• Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Manager : 10-14 of progressive experience in production management within the chemical manufacturing industry, specifically in Bromine and related chemicals.
• Proven leadership experience with strong managerial skills and the ability to lead a diverse team in a dynamic production environment.
