QA Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or TestNG.
• Design and implement test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Conduct database testing using SQL queries to validate backend data integrity.
• Ensure automation test scripts are up-to-date with changing application functionalities.
• Work closely with development teams in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure continuous quality improvement.
• Participate in sprint meetings, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to provide updates on testing progress.
• Provide test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
