Staff Software Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and scale the current data architecture, emphasizing data security, data quality, timeliness, scalability, and extensibility.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, product owners, software development engineers, and other teams to develop, implement, and validate KPIs, statistical analysis, data profiling, prediction, forecasting, clustering, and machine learning algorithms.
• Develop and implement complex and efficient data pipelines/solutions to transform raw data sources into powerful, reliable components of our data platform and business insights.
• Deploy and use various data and big data technologies and run pilots to design low latency data architectures at scale.
• Implement and simplify self-service data query and analysis capabilities of the data platform.
• Add and improve logging and monitoring to current solutions

Preferred candidate profile

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Strong experience with databases, SQL/PLSQL, writing and debugging
• Professional development experience with Java or Python
• Working systems level knowledge of Unix systems internals and bash/python scripting
• Experience building microservices (with REST APIs) and event-based architectures
• Strong Experience working with Snowflake and NO SQL databases like Mongo/DynamoDB
• Strong Experience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS preferred)
• Hands on experience with Terraform and/or cloud formation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in public cloud and creating a culture of automation.
• System monitoring and alerting, dashboarding experience.
