Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Job Objective:
As the Head of Fleet Health & Asset Management, your mission is to lead and supervise all fleet health,
repairs, maintenance, and asset management operations for Lithium assets. This pivotal role involves
overseeing the upkeep of vehicles, workshop equipment, chargers, spares, and other assets.
Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking maintenance and compliance expenses, as well as
managing budgets for the Fleet Health & Asset Management department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal uptime of the vehicle fleet and chargers for maximum utilization.
- Track fleet performance and maintain analytics on vehicle and charger usage.
- Guide the team in optimizing asset utilization to reduce the Total Cost of Operations (TCO).
- Manage supplier relations with OEMs, workshops, spares, insurance, and compliance entities.
- Review purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop and manage the department budget, with a focus on reducing TCO per kilometer per vehicle.
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Fleet Health & Asset Management to enhance overall profitability.
- Manage, schedule, and monitor maintenance repair and accident job works, providing effective leadership to the team.
- Oversee vehicle and charger maintenance, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment regulations.
- Develop and implement a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule, monitoring its performance for continuous improvement.
- Manage company-owned repair and workshop facilities to uphold world-class standards.
- Balance utilization between company-owned workshops and authorized external workshops to maximize vehicle uptime and minimize TCO.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department, implementing necessary safety measures.
- Implement 5S principles and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
- Effectively manage the team across locations, ensuring the day-to-day excellence in their job performance.
- Oversee the safe and lawful disposal of obsolete assets.
Who We Are Looking For:
The individual we are looking for should align with the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering is a must.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in fleet maintenance management is required.
- Desirable to have 10+ years of overall experience in the Automotive Industry.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a diverse team, driving them towards departmental objectives.
- Track record of successfully implementing strategic initiatives and achieving cost reduction targets.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle fleet maintenance processes and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets, with a focus on reducing Total Cost of Operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions in a dynamic
environment.
