AM/DM - 2 Wheeler Frame & Chassis System Design

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Executing design preparation activity for all chassis systems such as steering, suspension, tyers and wheels etc., from initial concept to PPAP.
• Establishing requirements for components based on the need of the vehicle (Strength, Durability, Stiffness, Corrosion, etc.)
• Evaluating different types of manufacturing methods for achieving the best combination of weight, attributes and cost
• Designing with excellence at system and component level, with great attention to every detail. Hands on experience of PROE/Windchil is must.
• Working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers, using creativity and teamwork to integrate multiple systems in the most efficient way possible
• Working closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Coordinating virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for the designs
• Determining required tolerances using various tools like GD&T
• Defining the loading and boundary conditions for all virtual analysis for the systems and components; and continuously improving to draw in real life situations
• Defining the Design Validation Plan (DVP) and acceptance criteria for the systems at component and vehicle level
• Coordinating with internal stake holders for building the prototypes, testing, homologation and other related activities
• Working continuously on value engineering proposals for the systems and their components to achieve the cost target
• Performing activities to ensure the design quality and BOM quality and aid in the product life cycle management for the designated systems

Essential Qualification:

• B.E /B Tech (Automobile/Mechanical)

Desired Qualification

• M.E /M- Tech (Automobile/Machine design)
• Hands on proficiency on Creo / design releases using Windchill, CFT working.
• A-class surfaces, chassis designs (chassis components & chassis sub system assembly designs)
• Knowledge of vehicle crash safety principles
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics principles
