Acoustic Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Acoustic Engineer positions 3 years of relevant experience in acoustic design.

2. Degree in architectural OR engineering.

3. Knowledge of fundamental of acoustics, fundamentals of vibration, architecture
acoustics, noise, and vibration control methods.

4. Knowledge of acoustic design criteria of background noise, external noise intrusion,
sound isolation, impact insulation class, reverberation time.

5. Knowledge of external noise analysis and calculation of façade system rating.

6. Should be able to review architectural drawings to understand the space and implement
the acoustic design.

7. Review MEP drawings and provide the noise control methods.

8. Review of interior design drawings to understand the finishes and evaluate the
reverberation time.

9. Preparation sound isolation markup drawings, equipment mounting details and supporting
drawings for acoustic design.

10. Assist with preparation of reports, drawings, sketches, models.

11. Interpret and apply codes and standard.

12. Skills in planning and organizing the work.

13. Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas to project teams over meeting and
coordination session.

14. Expertise in software such as Auto CAD, and MS office is must. Experience in Revit,
SketchUp and acoustic software is preferable.

15. Participate in meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions with design teams.
