Job Description

Under supervision the Analyst / Senior Analyst performs advanced level accounting tasks. Typically requires a Commerce degree in accounting with 3-4 years of experience in general accounting. The Analyst / Senior Analyst reports to the Assistant Manager.

Essential Duties

Accounts Payable:

• Process Purchase orders(PO)
• Processing of Invoices
• Reviewing, accounting and posting of employee expenses
• Payments to vendors and employees
• Tracking aging of payables
• Follow up of invoices
• Handle Vendor Queries
• Preparing audit schedules, handling audit queries including meeting internal and external auditor s requirements.
• Understanding and complying with records retention policies.
• Reconciliation of the Accounts Payable (AP) & accrued balances.
• Compliance issues pertaining to the Process of accounts payable
• Validating the rejection of invoices.

Accounts Receivable:

• Billing
• Cash Applications
• Tracking aging of receivables
• Follow up of invoices.
• Handle Billing and Client Queries
• Preparing audit schedules, handling audit queries including meeting internal and external auditor s requirements.
• Understanding and complying with records retention policies.
• Reconciliation of the Deferred (AR) & accrued balances.
• Compliance issues pertaining to the Process of accounts receivable.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Commerce degree in Accountancy

Experience

• Three to Five years work experience as a AP / AR / GL Accountant or higher
• Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency
• NetSuite knowledge will be added advantage

Work Skills

• Excellent verbal, telephone and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, documentation and follow-up skills
• Skills in prioritizing and dealing with multiple tasks
• Demonstrated experience in working well in small teams and working with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented; demonstrated commitment to accuracy and thoroughness
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
• Exhibit and promote good personal and business professional persona
