Senior Python Automation Engineer

Hi,

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Engineer to join our dynamic QA

team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in automation testing, Python

programming, and Selenium, with a passion for quality and a solid understanding of various

testing frameworks and practices. The role involves working closely with the development

team to ensure the quality of our software releases, developing automated test scripts, andactively participating in continuous integration and delivery processes.

Experience Required: 4 to 6 yrs (Minimum 4 yrs in Python Automation)

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation; Scripting:

Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Selenium to validate

the functionality of our applications. Ensure tests are efficient, reusable, and scalable.

Testing Framework Expertise:

Design, implement, and maintain tests using PyTest, Robot Framework, and other testing

frameworks, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for different application modules. Testing;

Debugging:

Apply strong problem-solving skills to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues found during

testing. Collaborate with development teams for root cause analysis.

Test Management:

Utilize qTest and similar test management tools for test case management, execution, and

reporting. Ensure proper documentation and versioning of test cases.

Version Control:

Ensure proper integration and version control of test scripts using Git, maintain efficient

branching, and versioning strategies.

CI/CD Integration:

Work closely with the DevOps team to integrate test automation into Jenkins and other

CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that tests are executed regularly in automated build environments.

Customer Interaction:

Act as a point of contact for customer queries related to the product, providing thorough

analysis and troubleshooting for reported issues.

Test Planning; Reporting:

Design comprehensive test cases for new implementations. Create detailed test plans, prepare estimation sheets, and provide clear, concise, and actionable release testing reports

to the team upon test completion.

Testbeds Creation:

Set up test environments and testbeds to simulate production-like scenarios, ensuring all

configurations are correctly defined for testing purposes.

Diverse Testing Expertise:

Execute different types of tests such as Regression, Sanity, Functional, API, Ad-hoc, etc., to

ensure the application meets all functional and non-functional requirements.

Agile Methodology:

Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, and backlog

grooming sessions. Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure test

coverage for new features and functionalities.

Project Management Tools:

Use tools like JIRA for tracking bugs, tasks, and project progress. Ensure proper tracking and

reporting of all issues and test executions.
