ETL Tester is responsible for validating data sources, extracting data applications of transformation logic, and uploading data in target tables.

Here are the key responsibilities and requirements:

Responsibilities:

Design and execute ETL tests: Validate data sources, extract data, apply transformation logic, and load data into target tables.
Data quality assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency throughout the ETL process, do regression tests.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve data issues, errors, and inconsistencies in the ETL process.
Collaboration: Work with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure ETL processes meet business requirements and data quality standards.

 

Requirements:

Technical skills: Proficiency in any programming languages such as Python; knowledge of data warehouse architecture techniques 
ETL testing tools: Databricks notebook, PySpark, DBeaver, Informatica/SSIS/Datastage, Pandas, AWS Cloud S3, SQL

Attention to detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data issues.
Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
