Job Objective: This role involves active engagement in database solutions engineering process, partnering with development groups for resolving customer issues with technical innovation and robust engineering solutions.

 

Job Description:

 

As a Database Administrator, you will:

 

• Develop Technical Operations strategies to help the organization achieve Service quality, reliability availability and scalability of the production infrastructure.

 

• 2+ year’s experience as a database administrator with MySQL, MongoDB and Aerospike. Certified MySQL, MongoDB DBA is a PLUS

 

• Demonstrated experience with MySQL database design, implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Managing large scale database system is a PLUS

 

• Scripting experience on automating various database related task to monitors the custom metrics and daily tasks on tools like Bash, Python, PHP, etc.

 

• Responsible for carrying out installation, migration, upgradation and troubleshooting issues in database to maintain database systems availability and scalability.

 

• Troubleshoot database issues and maintain database systems availability, capacity planning, scalability and disaster recovery planning.

 

• Demonstrated experience with Open Source/Linux development and production environment

 

• Support MongoDB to configure replica sets, shards and user management.

 

• Good team player with strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills

Required Skills:

 

• Installation & Maintenance MySQL, Microsoft SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, AeroSpike Database in
• Production, Development & Staging Environment

 

• Support MySQL database replication (MySQL - Master/Slave replication, load balancing, clustering and high-availability)

 

• Monitor and optimize MySQL database performance and capacity planning

 

• Experience on efficient Databases Backup and restoration methodology and Tools

 

• Troubleshoot database issues, maintain database systems availability and scalability

 

• Hands On Experience on MySQL - MyISAM & InnoDB engines

 

• Experience supporting and managing large, complex database environments where single databases easily exceed 1 terabyte on online portals

 

• Experience on MongoDB knowledge on managing DB Notes, replica set & Master-Slave concepts

 

• Hands on experience on Cassandra, Redis and AeroSpike DB knowledge.
