Job Description: System Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System Engineer to provide technical support and system administration for end-user environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software, and hardware systems to ensure seamless operation, performance, and security of end-user devices and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for end-users, addressing and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Configure, install, and maintain workstations, laptops, and other end-user devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and application errors, ensuring minimal disruption to end-user productivity.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patches for end-user systems and applications.
• Support the deployment and configuration of new software and hardware for end users.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security protocols are adhered to and end-user systems are protected from security vulnerabilities.
• Monitor system performance, ensuring all devices are operating efficiently and securely.
• Document technical issues and resolutions, providing clear instructions to end-users.
• Assist in user account management, including setting up new accounts, password resets, and access control.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on the use of systems and applications.
• Support IT projects, including software rollouts, system upgrades, and other initiatives.
• Respond to service requests and incidents within specified SLAs, ensuring timely resolution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in an end-user support or system administration role.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and end-user software applications.
• Experience with Active Directory, user management, and network configuration.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, and remote support tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IT certifications (e. g. , CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) are a plus.
