Key skills for the job
1. Pre-Order Support:
Study project requirement. Understand work scope and technical specifications. Provide technical support to sales and proposal team. Give guidance for preparation of documentation/proposal. Prepare drawings as per requirement. Ensure ontime support to sales and proposal team till client approval.
2. Post-Order Support:
Understand project scope, technical specifications and prepare G.A. drawing and project layout as per requirement. Ensure accuracy of designs and ontime submission. Submit designs to project team. Understand suggestions given by client and make changes in the designs and layout if required. Get client approval on designs and layout.
Prepare bill of material. Handover technical specifications to purchase department for material purchase/bought out material. Issue material requisition to purchase department.
Prepare fabrication drawings. Resolve client and vendor queries related to designs. Understand client feedback and finalize drawings. Handover drawings to project and production department for further process. Submit erection drawing to service department. Maintain copy of drawings in the Design department.
3. Coordination & Support:
After dispatch, provide support during erection and commissioning process. Resolve technical queries and ensure on time support. Site visits and stay at site during commissioning is part of this job.
Do the coordination with all the concerned departments and provide design/layout related support as per requirement.
4. Business Analysis & Continual Improvement:
Take ongoing review of design department. Assess performance against goals and benchmarks. Identify performance gaps and areas of improvement. Take measures to improve performance and productivity of design department .
5. People Management:
Recruit team as per work requirement. Assign tasks to team members and provide guidance for work management. Set KRAs for team members, assess performance and give feedback for improvement. Identify training and development needs of team members. Provide guidance for individual development.
6. MIS & Reporting:
Compile and provide daily/monthly work reports to Management as per requirement.
