Engineer/Sr. Engineer-Production(Solar Modules Manufacturing Industry)

Job Description

• The Senior Engineer in Production will oversee the manufacturing operations of solar modules, ensuring production targets are met while implementing best practices in efficiency and quality control. The incumbent will be responsible for process optimization, team management, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Production Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of the production line, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.
• Process Optimization: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production throughput and yield.
• Manpower Management: Oversee workforce allocation, ensuring adequate staffing levels and effective utilization of team members.
• Training & Development: Conduct training sessions for production staff to enhance skills and knowledge related to solar module manufacturing.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor quality metrics and ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and QMS processes.
• Machine Efficiency: Analyze and improve machine uptime, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
• Inventory Management: Conduct monthly analysis of work-in-progress (WIP) and shop floor inventory, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Production Planning: Schedule production runs based on customer demand and delivery timelines, ensuring timely dispatch of products.
• TQM Implementation: Promote Total Quality Management (TQM) practices on the shop floor, including methodologies like 5S, Just-In-Time (JIT), and suggestion schemes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and supply chain, to align production goals with organizational objectives.

• Essential Qualification: B. Tech / BE in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant field)
