Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at ICGC Vijayawada. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing and managing psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents while working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic mental healthcare. The role also involves active participation in awareness programs, school interventions, and community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate individualized treatment plans for children and adolescents.
• Manage a wide range of neurodevelopmental, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including ADHD, ASD, learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, and more.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications while ensuring evidence-based, ethical psychiatric care.
• Provide counseling support tailored to the childs needs in collaboration with psychologists and therapists.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special educators, to ensure integrated patient care.
• Offer guidance and psychoeducation to families, caregivers, and teachers on managing mental health conditions.
• Conduct school-based mental health programs, early intervention screenings, and awareness workshops.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Actively contribute to case discussions, peer learning, and professional development within the organization.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: MD/DNB/DPM in Psychiatry with a PDF in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry from an NMC-recognized university.
• Strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Proficiency in psychopharmacology and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, families, and professionals.
• A compassionate and patient-centered approach with a commitment to ethical medical practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for community outreach, school programs, and mental health advocacy.
