Job Description
Job Title: Senior Scrum Master \u2013 Banking (10-15 Years Experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master with 10 to 15 years of experience to lead and facilitate Agile processes for our banking teams. As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment, removing obstacles, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your deep understanding of the banking industry and Agile methodologies will be critical in driving the success of projects while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coach multiple Agile teams in the adoption and execution of Scrum practices, ensuring alignment with Agile principles.
Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
Work closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
Remove any blockers or impediments that may hinder the progress of the teams, escalating issues as needed.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior Scrum Masters and team members on Agile practices.
Help teams improve their Agile maturity and continuously strive for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within the team and across the organization.
Track and report on Agile metrics, such as velocity, burn-down, and cycle time, to help teams improve and ensure timely delivery.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and encourage innovation in the delivery process.
Ensure Agile processes align with the needs of the business and regulatory requirements within the banking industry.
Manage stakeholder expectations and act as the main point of contact for all Scrum-related matters.
Requirements:
10-15 years of experience in Agile methodologies, with a strong background in Scrum practices.
Proven experience working in the banking or financial services industry, with an understanding of banking systems, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification required.
Strong leadership, facilitation, and coaching skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Experience in scaling Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS) is a plus.
A deep understanding of Agile tools and techniques, such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
Ability to drive change and motivate teams to achieve high performance and deliver high-quality solutions.
Preferred:
Experience with Agile transformations in large, complex organizations.
Knowledge of other Agile frameworks and practices (Kanban, Lean, etc.) is beneficial.
