Job Description

Job Title: Senior Manager Business Development

Department: Business Development

Location: Mumbai

Reporting to: Director & CEO BOLT

Scope of Operations: Local (India)


Purpose of the Role

The Senior Manager Business Development will be responsible for driving sales and growth for BOLT within the Indian market. This role requires leveraging data-driven insights and engaging with top customers across the region to meet sales targets and enhance market presence.


Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Sales Target Achievement: Deliver expected sales targets by managing accounts and sales activities.
  • Customer Engagement: Respond promptly to customer inquiries from Customer Service, Pricing, and Agents. Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring efficient resolution of queries, problems, and issues.
  • Account Management: Develop in-depth market knowledge and manage accounts by generating new sales leads, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
  • Brand Promotion: Promote and spread the BOLT brand within the Indian market, ensuring high brand visibility and awareness.
  • Customer Feedback & After-Sales Service: Attend to customer feedback, resolve complaints, and ensure follow-ups for after-sales service.
  • Consistent Follow-up: Maintain regular follow-ups with existing and new customers to ensure service quality standards are met.
  • Industry Knowledge: Maintain proficiency in ISO tanks and stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in the ISO tank industry.
  • Reporting: Submit daily reports, sales reports, and sales plans to track progress and performance.
  • Market Insights: Analyze loading and booking volume on a weekly basis, collaborating with teammates to boost volume as needed.
  • Other Responsibilities: Perform any other duties or administrative tasks as assigned by management.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue Generation: Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Customer Acquisition: Secure new customers within the target market.
  • Customer Retention: Maintain relationships with existing customers and improve retention rates.
  • Market Penetration: Expand BOLT's market share within the Indian market.
  • Team Performance: Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring optimum results.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data effectively to guide sales strategies and decision-making.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's or Post Graduate degree in Maritime Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10–12 years of experience in the ISO Tanks industry.
