3DEXPERIENCE CATIA Expert

Role & responsibilities

• Develop complex 3D models and assemblies using CATIA on 3DEXPERIENCE platform for ships
• Ensure accuracy and precision in all designs, adhering to industry standards and company requirements.
• Utilize the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to manage and control product data and lifecycle.
• Implement and maintain PLM best practices to ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage design changes and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations based on CATIA expertise
• Provide training and support to team members on CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE tools and methodologies
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CAD and PLM systems
• Stay updated with the latest developments in CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE, and share knowledge with the team
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous improvement of design and development workflow
• Explore and implement new features and functionalities of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to enhance productivity and innovation

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering, Marine Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience using CATIA for complex product design.
• Extensive experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, including PLM integration.
• Proven track record in multidisciplinary projects and cross-functional team collaboration.
• Proficient in advanced CAD modeling, assembly techniques, and 2D drafting using CATIA.
• Strong understanding of PLM concepts and best practices within the 3DEXPERIENCE environment.
• Experience on working on Class A surface
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in creating structural/mechanical designs using 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Capability in conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design, including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables.
• Ability to alter or modify designs for specified functions and performance.
• Familiarity with shipping industry processes is an added advantage
