Job Title: Lead - IT DR/BCP operations

Level: AVP

Location: Mumbai (work from office). Candidates looking for remote working or not comfortable with the job location need not apply.

Summary: DR BCP Lead will be responsible to develop recovery priorities, timelines and strategy for proper sequence of recovery components. Educate and train IT members in practice of technology risk disaster recovery planning. Review existing and proposed plans for recoverability effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

1. Implement policies and procedures for disaster recovery planning for on-prem and cloud solutions.

2. Manage recovery plan development and maintenance activities to ensure DR plans are current and compliant.

3. Manage the test lifecycle supporting and facilitating testing with infrastructure and applications teams.

4. Understands and advocates DR Program strategy while executing activities with IT teams.

5. Comfortable leading discussions and educating business and IT partners in matters concerning DR methodology, practices, roles, and responsibilities.

6. Highly experienced in engaging infrastructure and application teams to collaborate on discussions and requirements for disaster recovery including experience with recovery and system processes.

7. Should have good understanding of IT infrastructure, application, and operations environment structure.

8. Able to work successfully as a member of a team through collaboration and support.

9. Proven ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

10. Provides project leadership, when needed, for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling, developing, and maintaining the Disaster Recovery program.

11. Review and update IT DR plan annually or whenever infra changes occurs.

12. Establish clear IT DR plan goals, and scope them to include all data centres, off-premises systems, and cloud-based services in a holistic set of IT DR plans.

13. Prepare and maintain annual DR calendar and ensure compliance towards execution of the drills.

14. Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure IT DR regulatory compliance for Business-critical applications and infrastructure.

15. Identifying areas of automation and automate the DR failover processes wherever possible.

Education: Graduation in any stream or Diploma in Engineering from recognized university with relevant experience in IT Service Delivery Management.

Experience: Minimum 12+ years, with at least 10+ years of experience in managing IT DR team.

Certification: CBCP/CBCI preferred and/or relevant certification.

Knowledge:

1. Proven experience in IT service delivery / service management, preferably in a IT DR/BCP role.

2. Hands-on experience with IT DR tools.

3. Basic knowledge on IT Infrastructure (Database, OS, VM, Storage, Middleware, and Network). Cloud computing knowledge can be an advantage. Team Management, Alert Management, Monitoring tools exposure, Escalations Management (mandatory).

4. Hands-on Knowledge on ITSM tools is essential.

5. In-depth knowledge of ITIL framework, particularly in Configuration Management and ITSM processes.

6. Basic knowledge of Network, Servers, Application Support experience.

7. Basic knowledge on Private and Public Cloud Computing (VMware/Azure/AWS/GCP)

1. Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills. Should have strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

2. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

3. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy in project/service deliverables.
