Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Frontend Developer with expertise in both WordPress and Next.js. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing web applications and websites that offer exceptional user experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of modern frontend development practices, responsive design, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Website Development
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Build and optimize high-performance, SEO-friendly Next.js applications.
- Create responsive, pixel-perfect UIs using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Ensure compatibility across multiple browsers and devices.
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate designs into functional user interfaces.
- Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless functionality.
- Optimize web pages for speed and scalability, ensuring low-latency and high-availability performance.
- Implement best practices for web accessibility and security.
- Debug and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Regularly update WordPress and Next.js codebases to ensure compatibility with the latest standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in WordPress theme development.
- Working knowledge of Next.js and React.js frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of frontend technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with REST APIs and GraphQL integration (added advantage).
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of SEO principles and practices.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Familiarity with modern design tools (e.g., Figma) and their integration into the development process.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with headless CMS (e.g., WordPress as a headless CMS with Next.js).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 0-3 years of experience as a frontend developer, with a focus on WordPress and Next.js.
