We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures to support our data analytics and business intelligence needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data integration, transformation, and storage solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and AWS or Azure services.
• Optimize and manage Snowflake databases, schemas, and performance tuning for efficiency.
• Implement data modeling and warehousing best practices to ensure high-quality data solutions.
• Work with cloud services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift (AWS) or Blob Storage, Data Factory, Synapse (Azure), and other data-related tools.
• Ensure data security, governance, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to understand data requirements.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline failures and ensure reliability and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Snowflake and AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in SQL, UDF, Stored Procedures, Notebooks, and database management within Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure data services (e.g., API Gateway, S3, Glue, VPC, Lambda, Redshift, or Blob Storage, ADLS, Data Factory, Synapse, etc.).
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, etc.).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Javascript, and SQL.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Good to have:

• Snowflake and AWS or Azure certifications.
• Experience with streaming data processing frameworks like Kafka or Kinesis/Event Hubs.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation/Bicep for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of machine learning and data science workflows.
• Deep understanding of snowflake platform ex: SPCS, Cortex AI, Data Apps, Streamlit
