Quality Assurance Lead - Automation Testing (6-9 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze user stories, requirements, and technical design documents to understand system functionalities and identify potential risks.

- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.

- Design and implement effective test plans and test cases covering all aspects of the application.

- Prepare and maintain test data for various test scenarios.

- Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability and address potential testing challenges during the design phase.

- Lead the development and maintenance of robust and maintainable automation frameworks using Robot Framework.

- Write and execute automation scripts for UI and API testing using Python and Selenium.

- Integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Analyze test results, identify trends, and generate comprehensive test reports.

- Identify, log, and track defects in a timely and accurate manner using a bug tracking system.

- Work closely with development teams to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues effectively.

- Provide clear and concise defect reports with detailed steps to reproduce.

- Mentor and guide junior QA team members in testing methodologies and best practices.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, etc.) to ensure smooth project delivery.

- Review and provide feedback on test cases prepared by other team members.

- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

- Stay abreast of the latest testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications :

- 6-9 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on web-based applications.

- Proven experience in leading and executing test automation projects.

- Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework, Python, and Selenium.

- In-depth knowledge of API testing, functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and sanity testing.

- Experience with API testing (REST, JSON, XML).

- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (STLC).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus
