Team Leader - Collections (Chennai North)

• Strong understanding of collections strategy, performance management, and regulatory compliance.

• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development and Execution:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive collections strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously evaluate and refine collection approaches, including field collections and outbound calls, to maximize efficiency and results.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and supervise Regional Collection Managers and field collection teams.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to enhance team skills and productivity.

Performance Management:

• Set and monitor collection targets for the team, ensuring that goals are met or exceeded.
• Develop and implement performance measurement and incentive programs to drive results.

Quality Assurance:

• Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure ethical and accurate collection practices.
• Conduct regular audits of collection activities, documentation, and customer interactions to maintain high standards.

Field Collection Collaboration:

• Coordinate with the field collection team to ensure effective integration and communication between field and non-field collection efforts.
• Provide support and resources to enhance field collection operations.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:

• Ensure the collection team adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Stay informed about changes in collection laws and industry best practices, ensuring compliance with RBI guidelines and the code of conduct.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and present regular collection reports to senior management, using data-driven insights to inform strategic adjustments.
• Analyze collection performance metrics to guide decision-making and strategy refinement.

Internal Stakeholder Engagement:

• Maintain strong relationships with bank stakeholders.
• Ensure cost optimization in the collection process and foster collaborative relationships within the bank.
