Position Summary :

We are looking for a talented Product Designer to join our team at Merlin, India's largest AI-powered browser assistant.

This is a full-time contractual role based in Bangalore.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating top-notch designs for web and mobile platforms, improving user experiences, and playing a key role in shaping product development.

You will have full ownership of design processes, including UX, UI, and copywriting, with the opportunity to also take on Product Management responsibilities.

Responsibilities :

- Design new products and features across web, mobile, and graphic platforms, ensuring all designs are 1000x better than the status quo.

- Drive excellence in UX and UI, creating user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces that customers love.

- Take ownership of product management, closely aligning with customer needs and working to improve product and business metrics.

- Conduct user research to deeply understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points, and incorporate insights into design decisions.

- Work collaboratively with founders, marketers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align on product direction and settle design-related decisions quickly.

- Foster a strong product design culture, ensuring design consistency and maintaining high standards in visual and interaction design across all products.

- Continuously improve and update the design system, creating reusable and extensible web components using Figma.

- Influence key business metrics through design innovations and ensure product experiences align with business goals.

Requirements :

- Previous experience designing mobile apps (full-time, internship, or contractual), with a strong focus on UX/UI.

- Advanced skills in Figma and familiarity with mobile/web front-end technologies like Material UI and Swift UI.

- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup environment, delivering high-quality designs on tight deadlines.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with tech teams and marketers without becoming a blocker.

- A portfolio showcasing a broad range of design skills across mobile and web platforms.
