Position: UK Taxation Expert
Location: Makarba, Ahmedabad.
Shift Timings:
UK Time Shift: 12:30 PM to 10:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
Daylight Saving Time (DST): 1:30 PM to 11:00 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).
Job Overview:
- IMS Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented UK Taxation Expert to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UK taxation, bookkeeping, and management accounting.
- You will be responsible for managing tax compliance, financial reporting, and bookkeeping for UK-based clients.
- This position requires proficiency in UK tax filings, management accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 105), and experience working with accounting software such as CCH, Digita, Taxcalc, and Iris.
- The role will involve working in UK time zones, ensuring timely and accurate processing of tax and accounting matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- UK Taxation Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns for UK clients, including Corporation Tax (CT600), ensuring compliance with UK tax laws and regulations.
- FRS 102 & FRS 105 Reporting: Prepare financial statements in line with UK accounting standards, specifically FRS 102 and FRS 105, and ensure accuracy in management accounts.
- Tax Software Expertise: Use tax and accounting software like CCH, Digita, Taxcalc, and Iris to manage tax filings, client records, and reporting.
- Ledger Scrutiny: Conduct thorough ledger scrutiny to ensure accuracy in accounting entries and resolve discrepancies in client financial statements.
- Management Accounting: Support the preparation of management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and financial reports for UK clients.
- Tax Advice: Provide guidance on tax-saving strategies, exemptions, and deductions for clients, ensuring they are compliant with UK tax laws.
- Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for UK clients regarding tax matters, financial reports, and queries related to their accounts.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly and annual reconciliations of financial statements, including bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Tax Planning & Optimization: Assist clients with tax planning, ensuring they maximize their tax efficiency while staying within the legal framework.
- Documentation & Filing: Prepare and maintain accurate tax-related documents and filings, ensuring all deadlines are met and all necessary paperwork is properly filed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in UK taxation and accounting.
- Proficient in using accounting and tax software tools such as CCH, Digita, Taxcalc, and Iris.
- Solid understanding of CT600 tax returns, FRS 102, FRS 105, and other UK financial reporting standards.
- Experience with ledger scrutiny and financial reconciliations.
- Familiarity with UK corporate tax regulations and statutory filings.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas) for financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of tax filing systems, tax planning, and UK accounting frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams in the UK.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage complex data and ensure high accuracy in financial reporting and tax filings.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently while working in UK time zones.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions related to taxation and financial reporting.
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position based in Ahmedabad, and you will be required to work UK time shifts.
- The role requires close interaction with clients and colleagues based in the UK, and it is essential to manage time effectively across different time zones.
- The role will involve both independent and team-based tasks, requiring strong collaboration with other departments.
- Overtime may be required during peak tax seasons, such as the end of the financial year.
