Job Title: Sr. Payroll /Team Lead Payroll (APAC Australian Region).
Location: Ahmedabad, India.

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Team Lead Payroll to join our dynamic team, focusing on the APAC region, particularly the Australian market.
Job Summary:
- As a Sr. Payroll/Team Lead Payroll at IMS Decimal, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll process for the Australian region.
- You will manage a dedicated payroll team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services while ensuring compliance with local tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
- This role requires strong leadership skills, a detailed understanding of payroll operations, and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure effective and efficient payroll processing.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle for the Australian region, including salary calculations, tax withholdings, benefits, deductions, and compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure that payroll is processed accurately and on time while adhering to local statutory requirements and deadlines.
- Handle complex payroll-related queries from clients and internal teams, ensuring resolution in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure data accuracy and completeness for payroll reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT) to improve payroll processes and systems.
- Prepare and submit accurate payroll reports to clients, ensuring all compliance and regulatory requirements are met.
- Manage client relationships and communicate effectively to address their specific payroll needs and concerns.
- Drive continuous improvements in payroll procedures and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors.
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation, tax rates, and other factors that may impact payroll processing.
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of relevant payroll experience, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory role.
- Hands-on experience in managing end-to-end payroll processing for the APAC region, specifically for Australia.
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll laws, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent team management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Proven experience in client handling and providing exceptional customer service.
- High attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in payroll software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in outsourcing payroll services to clients in the Australian region.
- Certification in Payroll Management or related field.
