- Reporting to the Director Finance & Internal Control, the Senior Manager - Finance & Accounts, will be responsible for overseeing all finance, accounting and reporting activities.
- Accounting, Compliances and Internal Control
- Good understanding of regulatory framework applicable to the sector viz. Income Tax, FCRA, GST, CSR etc.
- It will hold functional responsibility over accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and grants administration.
- The position will also be responsible for ensuring that the systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and conducting flawless audits.
- Closing books of accounts on a monthly/quarterly/annually basis ensuring correctness of timely accounting of all relevant transactions, provisions, pre-paid, depreciation etc.
- Should have complete ownership of all vendor and employee related payments and ensure accuracy and timeliness of all payments.
- Responsible for preparing/reviewing financial statements, monthly MIS.
- Consistently analyzing of financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress, changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status.
- To monitor procedures in respect of checking and authorization for vendor payment, as part of the finance team.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as may be required. Ensure internal process and SOP revisions periodically.
- To liaison with internal and statutory auditors for auditing the books of accounts and provide requisite details.
- Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
- Reviewing donor utilisation reports, tracking over/under-utilisation of donor funds.
- Preparing organisational budget and tracking project wise monthly actual expenditure and variances.
- The candidate will work closely with Program leaders and their staff, not only to educate them regarding finance and accounting procedures, but also to explore how the finance function can support operations program.
- Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
- Oversee cash, investments, and treasury operations.
- Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks.
Qualification and Experience:
- Qualified CA / CIMA / CS / MBA or equivalent
- Experience 5 -10 Years in Accounts and Finance
- Preferred from NGO / NPO / Not for profit sector
Location:
This position is based in Mumbai and may entail travel to other locations in India.
