- 10+ years experience in the field of information technology with a special emphasis on virtualization, compute, network, storage and security technologies.
- Intimate knowledge of cloud technologies including principles in the following areas: public/private/hybrid cloud, XaaS, infrastructure automation, SDN, NFV, backup strategies and DRP, firewalls, application delivery controllers, object storage.
- Knowledge of web hosting architectures including GPU/HPC based servers, CDN and ecommerce platforms such as Magento.
- Deep knowledge of webscale public cloud providers such as AWS, Google, Azure.
- Advanced knowledge of industry leading network and security products such as: Juniper (SSG, SRX), Cisco(ASA,WSA), Citrix (NetScaler), Brocade (ADX), IPS/IDS.
- Advanced knowledge of industry leading storage products such as: Dell, EMC, Netapp.
- Expert or Professional level certifications in various tracks with Cisco (CCIE), Juniper (JNCIE), VMware (VCP), Microsoft (MCSE).
- Hands-on experience of managing application layer solutions from Cisco, Juniper, F5, Citrix, Microsoft, Brocade, Radware.
- Proven experience of design and implementation overlay technologies such as VXLAN.
- Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM) and cloud management or cloud orchestration platforms such as Microsoft VMM, VMware vCloud Manager, Openstack, Cloudstack.
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux systems.
- Proven experience with scripting languages (Perl/Python, Linux Shell, Power Shell).
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure Architecture and Operations in a highly virtualized environment leveraging a mixed environment of blades, rack-mounts, and disparate storage infrastructures.
- Application Design, Development, and Testing Software Life Cycle.
- Management techniques and tools for managing requirements, processes, and object versioning.
- Deep knowledge of networking protocols including IP/Ethernet, BGP, MPLS, DNS, SSL, IPSec.
- Strong documentations and project management skills.
- Exercises judgment and uses discretion with highly confidential materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain productive within time-sensitive and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Dedicated to providing quality customer support to consistently meet customer expectations by providing service beyond expectations.
- Ability to effectively translate technical information and procedures to end-users.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills with capacity to accurately identify and assess problems before providing accurate solutions.
- Create standards documentation, integration and deployments guides.
- Create reference architecture designs and technical service descriptions.
- Conduct proof of concept testing, TCO analysis and make technology recommendations to the business.
- Contribute to development and integration of new projects and services.
- Participate in RFP/RFI s.
- Support sales, product and marketing teams.
- Act as consultant to organization and need to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and issues.
- Be conscious of and regularly assess risks and controls.
- Ensure security infrastructure integrity and consistency in highly virtualized environments.
