Job Description

A successful Vulnerability Engineer will increase IT security of our businesses across multiple countries by preparing infrastructure used by IT Services for regular patching and bringing them back up post patching in time for business use the next day.

They will work with Shared Service IT teams to establish the overall framework for Federated Business Segments and execute it in line with Information Security requirements.

Vulnerability Engineer will need to be accustomed to most common Windows operating system builds and technologies used to administer it at a 2nd and 3rd level basis. They will work with IT Service owners and Testing BAs to document and/or enhance application specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with an emphasis on high levels of standardization, automation and simplification.

They will be responsible for executing any application stop/start procedures as well as resolving any post-patching issues utilizing SOPs and automation.

Experience of implementing a highly scalable patching framework in a highly technically complex multilingual environment with varying levels of tech debt is considered an advantage.

The candidate needs to be proficient with all aspects of Operating system support including software updates and upgrades, performance management, configuration management and OS logs troubleshooting, and capacity planning for the environment. Perfect candidate can proficiently utilize and troubleshoot most common configuration management tools (e.g. MECM/SCCM).

Microsoft MCSA/MCSE/AZ-800 certified engineer

At least 3-5 years experience in managing Windows Server Systems (version 2008 and onward) at large scare (2000+ servers)

Experience scripting PowerShell and creating deployments using SCCM/MECM

Familiarity and experience using one of the configuration management software like SCCM/MECM or WSUS

Familiarity with Windows server roles (Clusters, DFS and etc.)

Bachelor s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.

Understanding of Operating system hardening standards.

Understanding of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) system.

Experience working with Cyber Security vulnerability scanning tools.

Experience working within an enterprise ticketing system and complying with ITIL standards - specifically incidents and change control - preferably on ServiceNow.

Skilled in driving tool functionality needs for OS operations team and ensuring they are delivered.

Previous experience working in a large-scale, enterprise environment providing operational support by building, configuring, and managing Server Operating Systems.

Experience troubleshooting common network environment problems and basic understanding of DNS, routing and packet capturing.

Must demonstrate attention to details, analytical working methods while approaching troubleshooting.

Knowledge and understanding of virtualization platforms. Being able to navigate and operate in the VMWare environment.
