Software Test Engineer

Looking for the a candidate for the position of Software Tester in Mumbai.

Role & responsibilities

• Be responsible for the quality of an entire project.
• Develop testing strategies with a vision to produce maximum quality in minimum time frame.
• Develop and maintain test cases and scenarios.
• Execute Test Cases and analyse results.
• Be responsible for adapting to the business and user requirements.
• Plan and carry-out different testing types such as Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Database, API, etc.
• Ready to learn new technologies.
• Interact with the project manager as well as business and technology teams to develop a strong understanding of the product and testing objectives.
• Manage issue triage, escalation and verification.
• Provide valuable feedback on products based on ease of use and user experience.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience in Test-Driven Development / Business-Driver Development testing processes.
• Strong experience in test planning, creating test cases and execution.
• Experienced in Agile Scrum Software Development methodologies.
• Experience in API testing and tools like Postman, is a plus.
• Experience in Automation testing with selenium is a plus.
• Experience as an individual player and team player.
• Ability to adapt and work with different programming languages and databases.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in project management or team management is required.
• Good understanding of concepts like Functional testing, Regression testing, Database testing, API testing with postman, Performance Testing.
• Although implied, Impact Analysis along with the BSG Team prior to finalisation of BRD needs.
