About the Role:
As the Director of Business Development, based in Mumbai, you will spearhead strategic growth and partnership initiatives within the education sector. Your primary focus will be on establishing high-impact alliances with Tier 1 colleges and universities, driving sustainable revenue growth through innovative tie-ups and collaborative programs. This role demands expertise in business development, university partnerships, and client engagement, with a strong emphasis on positioning the organization as a leader in digital marketing education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership and Business Development
- Design and execute growth strategies to forge partnerships with top-tier colleges and universities, ensuring long-term revenue growth.
- Develop a robust pipeline of opportunities by identifying and pursuing strategic tie-ups with Tier 1 academic institutions.
- Represent the organization as a thought leader at seminars, conferences, and industry events, highlighting trends in digital marketing education.
- University Partnerships and Relationship Management
- Build and sustain strong relationships with senior decision-makers such as chancellors, deans, and principals to secure institutional buy-in.
- Develop customized training and academic solutions in collaboration with internal teams, aligning with the specific needs of partner institutions.
- Regularly review and optimize existing partnerships to enhance value and ensure mutual growth.
- Revenue Growth and Target Achievement
- Oversee B2B sales efforts, driving revenue through university alliances and ensuring consistent achievement of growth targets.
- Create and present compelling proposals and business models to potential academic partners, emphasizing the organization's expertise.
- Analyze market trends and insights to identify and capitalize on emerging partnership opportunities.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the business development team to achieve organizational objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and academic departments, to streamline partnership initiatives.
- Promote a customer-focused approach to ensure all partnerships deliver maximum impact and satisfaction.
Requirements:
Must-Have:
- Experience: 10-12 years in business development, with a proven track record in university partnerships, B2B sales, and growth strategies within the education sector.
- Skills: Demonstrated expertise in forging high-value alliances with Tier 1 colleges and universities.
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, events, and institutional engagement.
Should-Have:
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate the value of digital marketing education effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Google Workspace, and analytics tools to track and manage partnerships.
Nice-to-Have:
- Prior experience in the EdTech industry or roles involving corporate and institutional training services.
- Established network within Tier 1 academic institutions to expedite partnership efforts.
Education:
UG: Any Graduate
PG: MBA or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
