Draughtsman - Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1) Drawing Management

• Receive, translate, and verify customer-provided drawings ensuring alignment with company standards and requirements.
• Compare initial material drawings with final versions and report any discrepancies.
• Update drawings in production promptly to minimize delays.

2) Technical Support

• Provide accurate and timely technical assistance to production teams.
• Ensure drawing compliance with manufacturing processes and capabilities.
• Communicate with customers regarding drawing discrepancies and document changes accordingly.

3) Software Utilization

• Create, modify, and manage drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Utilize MS Excel and MS Word to generate technical documentation and reports.

4) Process Optimization

• Maintain an organized database of drawings and documentation.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize processes, reduce time, and minimize costs.

5) Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure all drawings and documents meet quality standards and engineering
  specifications.
• Maintain revision control by updating drawing numbers and ensuring proper versioning.

Prepare production envelopes and checklists for efficient workflow.

6) Communication and Collaboration

• Coordinate with engineering and quality departments to address design-related queries.
• Relay relevant updates and modifications to production and planning departments.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Report any technical challenges beyond the role's scope to the immediate supervisor.
2. Ensure smooth handovers by briefing colleagues in the following shift.
3. Document and share all drawing updates and changes via email.
4. Adhere to engineering checklists and quality assurance procedures.
5. Ensure high accuracy and timely completion of assigned tasks.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Adhere to work schedules and maintain professional conduct.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
9. Maintain confidentiality and data integrity.

1. Managing and ensuring compliance with technical documentation

3. Authority to make decisions regarding the compliance of drawings with manufacturing requirements and to report nonconformities for continuous improvement.

3. Responsible for adhering to quality standards, following checklists, and contributing to process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.

Technical Skills:
