Network and Security Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network and Security Administrator to join our IT team. In this role, you will manage and secure the companys network infrastructure, servers, and cybersecurity systems. You will also be tasked with identifying and mitigating security risks, protecting against phishing attacks, and ensuring the integrity and availability of critical business systems.

Security Management:

• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect company data and IT resources.
• Administer and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection software.
• Monitor network traffic for signs of suspicious activities, and take immediate action to mitigate threats.
• Ensure security compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.

Network Administration:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for speed, reliability, and security.
• Manage network configurations and ensure proper network segmentation and access control.

Server Administration:

• Oversee the management, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual servers.
• Perform regular backups, disaster recovery, and data integrity checks.
• Apply operating system patches, security updates, and maintain server performance.

Phishing Protection:

• Implement and manage anti-phishing technologies (e.g., email filtering, URL scanning) to detect and block phishing attacks.
• Conduct regular phishing simulations to raise awareness among employees and measure readiness.
• Respond to phishing incidents and investigate any potential data breaches or compromises.

Incident Response & Monitoring:

• Actively monitor the company’s network and systems for security breaches or unusual activity.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, such as data breaches, malware infections, or unauthorized access attempts.
• Document security incidents, remediation efforts, and provide recommendations for future prevention.

Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Management:

• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses in the infrastructure.
• Recommend and implement patches or security solutions to mitigate identified risks.
• Evaluate and enhance network security architectures and server hardening techniques.

Collaboration & Training:

• Work closely with other departments to ensure IT infrastructure and security solutions meet company needs.
• Provide guidance and training to end-users on safe IT practices, including recognizing phishing attacks and other security threats.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, security policies, and server configurations.
• Prepare reports on network health, security posture, and incidents for management review.
