We're looking for a talented and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our microservice team in India, bringing with you a broad range of experiences and a passion for modern development technologies and practices.

Our Platform is at the heart of this, to allow our digital channels to quickly develop new and improved applications based on secure, reliable and scalable services, based on a cloud-based micro-services architecture.

Working within a Scrum team, you'll refine, plan and implement user stories ensuring the quality and integrity of the platform and solutions through appropriate technology, standards and best practice. You'll strive to continuously learn, develop and improve the services and your own skills

You'll be responsible for

• Hands on development of microservices as part of a development squad using Scrum/Kanban within a SAFe environment
• Driving the quality and performance of owned micro-services, through the use of standards and best practices
• Establishing a culture of continuous improvement through learning, training and coaching
• Ensuring quality is at the heart of everything you and your team does

What youll need…

• Extensive experience with Java and related technologies (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and API management.
• Strong Data modelling concept (Data designer)
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of the applications. (NFR requirements)
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on Java applications and microservices.
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture, including design patterns and best practices.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs within a micro-services architecture
• Deep knowledge of Java frameworks like Sprint Boot
• Substantial experience in Scrum and developing through BDD/TDD, using associated tools for testing and continuous integration & deployment
• An ability to challenge others in doing whats right for the business.
• A passion for finding solutions to problems that haven’t been solved before
• Experience with stream pipelines and data store technologies, including MongoDB.

Things we'd rate you even higher for …

• Certifications in Scrum, SAFe or other scaled agile frameworks
• Experience in AWS services
• Use of Docker, K8s or another container management
• Experience of event processing and event driven architecture using Kafka
• Experience of Camunda BPMN

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Spring boot/Java Development experience
• Experienced in TMF Specification
• Experience of Agile delivery methodologies, understanding of SAFe would be an advantage
• Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.
• Experienced in microservice architecture and corresponding design principles.
