Power BI Developer (3-5 yrs)

Job Description :

- 3+ years of experience in MS- Power- BI.

- Expert knowledge using advanced calculations using MS- Power- BI- Desktop (Aggregate,. Date, Logical, String, Table).

- Expert in publishing reports to app powerbi.com and setting up the necessary connection details and scheduling.

- Excellent knowledge connecting Microsoft- Power- BI- Desktop to various data sources.

- SQL Server is desirable.

- Proficient at data visualization using- Power- BI- and a strong application- development.

- Good at creating different visualizations using Slicers, Lines, Pies, Histograms, Maps,. Scatter, Bullets, Heat Maps, Tree maps, etc.

- Experience in creating dashboards, volume reports, operating summaries, and presentations and graphs.

- Good communication skills & Customer facing experience is must.

- Candidate will be on a 1-year (12 months) Indemnity bond with the organization, it's a permanent and long term opportunity on direct payrolls.

Responsibilities :

- Design and develop insightful and visually appealing dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear and actionable data visualizations.

- Utilize advanced DAX calculations (Aggregate, Date, Logical, String, Table) to manipulate and analyze data effectively.

- Expertly connect Power BI Desktop to various data sources, with a strong preference for SQL Server experience.

- Ensure smooth report publishing to app.powerbi.com, set up secure connection details, and schedule automated data refreshes.

- Possess a strong understanding of data visualization best practices to create compelling visuals using slicers, charts (line, pie, histogram, map, scatter, bullet, heatmap, treemap), and more.

- Maintain existing Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and functionality.

- Document data models and reports clearly and concisely.

- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of BI solutions.

Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft Power BI.

- Expert knowledge of using advanced DAX calculations in Power BI Desktop.

- Proven experience in publishing reports to app.powerbi.com and setting up connections and scheduling.

- Strong understanding of data sources and experience connecting Power BI to various platforms, with a preference for SQL Server.

- Proficiency in data visualization principles and techniques.

- Experience creating dashboards, reports, operating summaries, presentations, and graphs.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Customer-facing experience is a plus.
