Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Engineer 1 to join our Network team. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex network architectures for both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Fortigate, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, Citrix NetScaler, Cisco Nexus switches, as well as strong expertise in OSPF and BGP routing protocols. This is a senior role where you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and direction to ensure that network infrastructure meets the scalability, security, and performance requirements of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Network Architecture & Design: Lead the architecture, design, troubleshoot using Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Fortigate, Zscaler, Cisco ISE, Citrix NetScaler, and Cisco Nexus switches. Develop and document comprehensive network architectures to support business needs and growth.
• Routing Protocols: Utilize expertise in OSPF and BGP routing protocols to design and implement optimal routing strategies for data center and WAN environments. Ensure robust routing configurations to improve network performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implementation & Optimization: Oversee the deployment and configuration of network infrastructure, including Cisco ACI, Meraki, Nexus switches, and security platforms like Fortigate and Zscaler. Continuously optimize network systems for performance and scalability.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure that the network infrastructure adheres to industry best practices for security, focusing on Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine) for network access control and Fortigate for firewall protection. Collaborate with the security team to implement robust security measures.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Provide leadership in troubleshooting complex network issues, leveraging expertise in Cisco Nexus, ACI, and routing protocols to resolve performance, connectivity, and security problems.
• Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices and providing guidance on network architecture, design, and troubleshooting. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest networking trends, technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities to innovate and implement new solutions that enhance the performance, scalability, and security of the network.

• Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering with at least 3 years in an architecture or leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) and Cisco Meraki for cloud-managed networks.
  • In-depth expertise in Fortigate firewalls, Zscaler cloud security solutions, and Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine).
  • Extensive experience with Citrix NetScaler for load balancing, application delivery, and SSL VPNs.
  • Deep knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches for data center networking and virtualization.
  • Strong understanding of OSPF and BGP routing protocols, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex routing solutions.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in designing, deploying, and optimizing Cisco ACI environments.
  • Expertise in managing and configuring Cisco Meraki solutions for wireless, switching, and security.
  • Advanced skills in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus switches, including configuration, maintenance, and optimization in enterprise-scale data centers.
  • Extensive experience with Fortigate firewalls, including configuration and troubleshooting for perimeter security.
  • Deep understanding of Zscaler cloud security and its integration with enterprise networks.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE for network access control (NAC), identity management, and secure authentication methods.
  • Advanced knowledge of OSPF and BGP routing protocols for inter-domain routing, failover, and optimal path selection.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • CCNP, FortiGate Security Professional, Zscaler Certified Specialist (ZSC).
