Mechanical Engineer

Industry : Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or Oil and Gas plants.

Software Proficiency: PV-Elite, Ansys, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), 3D model review software, AutoCAD

Only Design Engineering profiles are accepted; Onsite/Field profiles are not considered.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct engineering analysis, calculations, and simulations using software tools like Ansys and FEA to optimize mechanical designs and systems.
2. Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for mechanical components, equipment, and systems.
3. Utilize PV-Elite software for pressure vessel design and analysis, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards.
4. Perform 3D model reviews and collaborate with design teams to identify and resolve design issues and improve overall design efficiency.
5. Assist in the selection of materials, components, and suppliers for mechanical systems based on technical specifications and project requirements.
6. Support project teams in mechanical system installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
7. Conduct technical feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed mechanical engineering solutions.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other engineering disciplines, procurement, and project management, to achieve project objectives and milestones.
9. Participate in design reviews, meetings, and technical discussions to contribute ideas, solutions, and improvements to mechanical designs and processes.
10. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering to enhance knowledge and skills.

Additional Skills:

1. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D and 3D modeling, drafting, and detailing of mechanical designs.
2. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents accurately.
3. Experience in using 3D model review software for collaborative design reviews and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
4. Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to mechanical engineering design and analysis.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to troubleshoot technical issues and propose effective solutions.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear documentation, reports, and presentations.
7. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, and compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
8. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic engineering environment.
9. Familiarity with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety (QEHS) standards and regulations is a plus.
