Banking Transformation - Senior Managing Consultant

Responsibilities

The Senior Managing Consultant for transformation programs in the Banking sector will play a critical leadership role with the following key responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership :Lead the development of strategic initiatives that leverage data, AI, and automation to drive transformation in banking. This includes identifying emerging trends such as embedded banking, ecosystem banking, and digital banking.

Winning Pitches :Craft compelling proposals and presentations that resonate with potential clients, effectively communicating how innovative solutions can address their unique challenges in regulatory risk and compliance, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.

Problem Identification and Solution Design :Utilize extensive industry experience to identify complex problem statements within client organizations. Develop tailored solutions that employ data analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies to resolve these issues effectively.

Execution Oversight :Oversee the implementation of transformation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Facilitate collaboration between technical teams and client stakeholders throughout the execution phase.

Change Management and Adoption :Design and implement change management strategies that promote the successful adoption of new technologies and processes. This includes training programs and ongoing support to ensure client teams are equipped to embrace transformation.

Performance Measurement :Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of transformation initiatives. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project outcomes and insights gained from data analytics.

Thought Leadership :Act as a thought leader in the banking consulting space by sharing insights on emerging trends and best practices in data utilization, AI applications, and regulatory compliance. Contribute to industry publications and participate in conferences.

Required technical and professional expertise

1.Educational Background:A masters degree in finance or a MBA with specialization in finance, A Bachelors degree (BTech/ BE/ Integrated Masters) in a relevant discipline is required.

2.Experience:Over 15 years of experience in consulting or a related field within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on banking transformation projects using data-driven methodologies.

3. Banking Knowledge:Strong understanding of financial metrics and business drivers influencing decision-making within banking institutions. Comprehensive understanding of modern banking practices including embedded banking (business) models, ecosystem strategies, digital banking innovations, regulatory frameworks, risk management practices, and compliance requirements. Have in depth understanding of at least one.

4.Technical Skills:

a.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.

b.Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau/ Power BI /Excel) for effective communication of insights.

c.knowledge of interpreting machine learning model outputs and deriving business inferences

d.Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for deploying scalable solutions.
