About VergeCloud:
VergeCloud is rapidly scaling and redefining how businesses leverage CDN, cloud security, and edge computing. We need a Sales Lead who is ready to take charge, both by closing deals as an individual contributor (IC) and by guiding a growing sales team. This is a unique hybrid role for someone with a top-tier background who is passionate about cloud solutions and excited to work hands-on while mentoring others to drive revenue growth.
What You'll Do:
Individual Contributor (IC) Responsibilities:
- Own the full sales cycle, actively prospecting, presenting, negotiating, and closing high-value deals with enterprise clients.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, tailoring sales strategies to address client needs.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineers to demonstrate the technical and business value of VergeCloud's CDN, cloud security, and edge computing solutions.
- Consistently meet and exceed personal sales targets, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline and driving revenue growth.
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, setting the standard for success as you coach and mentor other sales team members.
- Drive team development through regular coaching, performance reviews, and setting clear sales objectives for each member to ensure both individual and team success.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with VergeCloud's business goals and revenue targets.
- Work closely with the marketing and product teams to ensure sales efforts are aligned with product developments and marketing campaigns.
- Track performance metrics, providing feedback to team members and ensuring individual and team sales goals are met.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a collaborative mindset and the ability to foster a high-performance culture within the sales team.
What You Bring :
- 8-12 years of experience in cloud solutions sales, with a strong individual track record of closing enterprise-level deals.
- Educational pedigree from top-tier institutions (IITs, IIMs, ISB, or other premier universities) in Business, Sales, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to succeed in a hybrid role, balancing individual sales responsibilities with leadership duties.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a deep understanding of the cloud infrastructure landscape.
- Expertly balance individual sales responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring consistent performance on both fronts.
- Experience using CRM tools (like Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage and optimize the sales pipeline.
