Engineer/Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design (Switchgear)

Role & responsibilities

Develops test plans in accordance with applicable IEC standards. Creates validation

requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters.

Responsible for conducting tests by ensuring deployment of standard practices. Assesses

test results, root cause analysis through test findings/failures and takes corrective actions.

Identify cost out opportunities in operating mechanism through benchmarking, teardown,

competitor analysis and study of applicable standards

Coordinate with Global stakeholders and Drive project execution through Design, testing

and implementation phase.

Performs project management role from design to implementation; communicates

expectations, plans, and requirements and also coordinates all work within the scope of

assigned projects

Should have knowledge of all mechanical manufacturing process e.g. welding, machining.

Work closely with global teams to develop and implement growth strategies and technical

road maps for proactively influencing and providing differentiated solutions.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent problem solving and time management skill and ability to prepare comprehensive reports,

proposals/Project plan & Validation requirements.

Proven track record of delivering projects in complex multicultural settings.

Exposure to 2-D and 3-D CAD software packages like Creo/Autocad/solidworks or similar.

Exposure to SAP & PLM will be extra advantage.
