Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Product Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 4-12 years of experience in product design and be proficient in CAD software tools like Abaqus, SolidWorks, and similar applications. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and quality throughout the design process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new products from concept through to production, ensuring they meet performance, aesthetic, and user requirements.
• Use CAD tools such as Abaqus, SolidWorks, and other relevant software to create detailed product models, drawings, and prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, manufacturable, and meet industry standards.
• Conduct simulations and stress tests using software like Abaqus to ensure product performance and durability.
• Refine and iterate designs based on feedback from product testing, market trends, and user needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams including engineers, manufacturers, and marketing professionals to ensure successful product development and launch.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Assist in the selection of materials and processes for product manufacturing.
• Maintain and update product design documentation to ensure all specifications are clearly outlined and accurate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design issues as they arise during prototyping or production.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors / Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4-12 years of experience in product design with a strong proficiency in CAD software (Abaqus, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Expertise in 3D modeling, product simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience in designing consumer or industrial products with an emphasis on usability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to create high-quality technical drawings and documentation for production teams.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SolidWorks, Simulation, Abaqus, Thermodynamics, and PLM, with a preference for using 3D Experience
• Strong problem-solving skills based on first principles.
• Proficient in using CAD/CAE APIs.
• Expertise in industrial product design, focusing on manufacturability and serviceability.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics (E&E), and Nuclear engineering
• Basic understanding of nuclear fusion added advantage.
