Senior Python Backend Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Backend Developer (Python) with 5+ years of experience to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining backend services and APIs that are scalable, efficient, and secure. As a senior developer, you will also provide technical guidance, drive innovation, and contribute to the strategic growth of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development:
• Architect, Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend systems and APIs using Python.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code while adhering to best practices.
• Database Management:
• Design and optimize database schemas for high performance and scalability.
• Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
• System Architecture:
• Contribute to the design and development of the overall system architecture.
• Implement robust solutions using microservices and serverless architectures.
• API Integration:
• Develop and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless integration with frontend and third-party systems.
• Security & Performance:
• Ensure the backend system is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance.
• Conduct performance testing, debugging, and optimization.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship, and help maintain a collaborative team environment.
• DevOps & Deployment:
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong proficiency in Python and related frameworks like Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Database Skills:
• Proficiency in relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Redis.
• Database schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• API Development:
• Hands-on experience with RESTful and GraphQL API development.
• Expertise in building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Knowledge of API authentication mechanisms like OAuth2, JWT, or API Keys.
• Cloud & DevOps:
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in deploying and managing applications in cloud environments.
• Version Control & Collaboration:
• Proficient in using Git and working with Agile development methodologies.
• Other Tools & Technologies:
• Experience with task/job scheduling tools like Celery or Cron.
• Proficiency in working with JSON, XML, and other data formats.
