Finance Manager

Job Description

The Controllership team at Husky is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Finance Manager. In this role the candidate will be expected to review accounting and general ledger activities including but not limited to: Accounts Receivables, intercompany billings, tracking and managing fixed asset records, reviewing and ensuring control over financial reporting process for entities operating in Asia.

Ensure quality, timeliness and effectiveness of monthly and quarter-end closing, reporting and analysis. Ensure the accounting process as per Husky accounting policies.

Responsibilities

• Review of invoices and oversight of overall Accounts receivable process.
• Supporting external and internal audits.
• Review the calculation and preparation of entries related to revenues and expenses accruals.
• Review balance sheet account reconciliations and performing analysis.
• Coordinate and perform period end closing requirements, i.e. subsystems, journal entry, inter-company reconciliations.
• Preparation and review of financial statements.
• Communicating and interpreting financial results to department heads.
• Participate in various automation and simplification projects related to finance process.
• Responsible for compliance and accounting requirements for corporate income tax, indirect tax including filings.
• Review fixed asset accounting including ledger, sub-ledger reconciliation, depreciation expense calculation, account analysis, net book value reconciliation etc.
• Calculate and prepare tax related entries, follow-up files, tax packages and fillings.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA, CA Inter completed, qualified Cost Accountant or University education in Business, Finance or Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6+ years experience for qualified CA, Cost Accountant, or minimum 10+ years experience for CA inter completed, M.Com, MBA in finance/accounting role in India with International exposure.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong accounting knowledge (US GAAP and/or Local GAAP, IFRS).
• Demonstrated experience performing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ability to identify and implement effective internal control.
• Strong proficiency - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated experience using financial modules of ERPs Microsoft AX 2012 and LN are a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
