Position: Head Legal
Location: Mumbai

Company : Our client is a provider of diverse turnkey solutions for High Voltage Power Transmission Lines, Substations and Distribution Lines. The company offers a wide range of services including design, engineering consulting, tower testing, manufacturing, construction and project management.
Its project management services comprise installation of high voltage underground cables and optical fiber ground wire networks.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-orientated legal professional to join our organisation. The role involves providing expert legal advice across a range of practice areas, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting the organisation in its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Advice:
- Provide strategic legal advice on corporate matters, including governance, restructuring, and compliance.
- Support business teams in risk mitigation and legal strategy planning.
Litigation & Arbitration:
- Represent the organisation in litigation matters and manage arbitration proceedings.
- Work closely with external counsel on disputes and coordinate case strategies.
Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct audits and advise on compliance improvements to minimise risks.
Labour Laws:
- Provide guidance on employment laws, workplace policies, and industrial relations.
- Handle labour-related disputes and advise on compliance with labour regulations.
Strategic Advice:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to offer legal insights on business strategies and operations.
- Develop frameworks for effective legal risk management.
Contracts Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, and NDAs.
- Maintain a repository of contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Skills & Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in law (LLB) from a reputed institution or LLM is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of litigation, labour laws, regulatory frameworks, and contract management.
- Excellent analytical, draughting, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
