Senior Engineer - AWS/Python (5-8 yrs)

We're looking for Software Engineers to join our Platform teams. The Platform is responsible for enabling our engineering and research teams to get our industry leading data to our customers and product engineering teams efficiently and securely.

These roles are across the Data Platform and Solution Platform teams where you'll work collaboratively to create, evolve, and maintain the API's and access layers that delivers data and capabilities to our product and subsystems teams, as well as directly to our customers.

As one of our Software Engineers you will :

- Work with our product team to understand the problems our customers face and help design solutions to solve them.

- Break work down into small iterations and work with others to solve them write maintainable, testable, and optimized code.

- Collaborate with teams that want to use the data platform and identify feedback that will improve the platform.

- Ensure the high-quality implementation and delivery of our roadmap.

- Be supported to grow and develop your skills.

You're a great fit for this role if :

Our Tech Stack :

We use a wide variety of tools and technologies for our products, and no one is expected to have deep experience of all of them.

Here's an idea of what you might typically encounter :

- Our services are deployed to AWS, typically using Lambda, Step Function, ECS and Kubernetes with CloudFormation and CDK for infrastructure configuration.

- Our web products are developed using TypeScript, React

- The Identity and access management is done using AWS IAM

- We implement GraphQL and RESTful APIs using NodeJS and NestJS.

- Our backend services are implemented in Python (and using Typing / Mypy / Pylint).

- CI/CD is managed using Jenkins

- DynamoDB, Postgres RDS, Elasticsearch, click house, and S3 are our go to data stores.

- The application has workflow orchestrations using AWS Airflow.

- It offers modelling capabilities using Sage maker.

- The observability is achieved by Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, AWS CloudWatch.

- Knowledge of Docker, Git, Sonar Cloud/SonarQube, Dependency Track and Nexus are desirable.
