Azure DevOps Lead

1. Production Environment Management:
• Administer, monitor, and maintain production environments in Microsoft Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to Azure services like App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Virtual Machines, and Networking.
• Ensure production workloads meet performance and availability SLAs and support root cause analysis for outages.
2. CI/CD Pipeline Development & Maintenance:
• Architect and implement complex CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, integrating with source control (GitHub, Bitbucket), and deploying to Azure environments.
• Maintain and optimize pipelines for automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment of application code to production.
• Integrate build and release pipelines with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for seamless environment provisioning.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines for CI/CD automation and integration with tools like SonarQube.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps features like build pipelines, release pipelines, task integrations, and SonarQube reporting.
3. Infrastructure Automation (IaC):
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or Bicep to automate the provisioning of Azure resources.
• Implement IaC best practices for versioning, modularity, and scalability of infrastructure.
• Use Azure DevOps YAML pipelines for automating infrastructure deployment along with application deployments.
4. Cloud Security & Compliance:
• Apply cloud security best practices for secure management of production environments, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), Key Vault, and Security Center configurations.
• Ensure the environment complies with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, SOC2, and PCI-DSS by applying security patches, auditing, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Integrate security into the pipeline (DevSecOps), including automated vulnerability scanning, code quality checks, and dependency analysis.
• Configure SonarQube Quality Gates and webhooks for continuous feedback on code quality during development and before production deployment.
5. Monitoring, Logging & Alerting:
• Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, and Grafana to track key performance metrics and system health.
• Design and implement alerting mechanisms for real-time incident response and performance optimization.
• Set up and manage log aggregation for troubleshooting and proactive monitoring, implementing centralized logging solutions (e.g., ELK Stack).
• Implement and configure Dynatrace or similar application performance monitoring tools to monitor Windows Server and application
6. Containerization & Orchestration:
• Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Design and implement scalable and self-healing Kubernetes clusters, utilizing tools such as Helm for managing complex applications on Kubernetes.
• Implement blue/green and canary deployment strategies in AKS to ensure seamless production releases.
7. Operating System:
• Manage and configure Windows-based servers (Windows Server 2019), ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement and manage Windows-based services, such as IIS.
8. Production Support & Incident Management:
• Provide 24/7 support for production issues and ensure high uptime and rapid recovery from incidents.
• Work with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive improvements to avoid future issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and manage incident response through tools like PagerDuty or OpsGenie.

Required Skills:

• Azure Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of core Azure services including Azure App Services, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Networking, Azure Storage (Blob, Disk, File), and Azure Active Directory (AAD).
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or other CI/CD automation tools for building and deploying cloud-based applications.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep for provisioning and managing Azure resources. Proficiency in managing Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
• Scripting & Automation: Advanced knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automating operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
• Cloud Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of Azure Security Center, Key Vault, Azure IAM, and Azure Policy. Knowledge of security best practices and industry compliance standards (SOC2, GDPR, PCI-DSS).
• Monitoring & Logging: In-depth experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Prometheus, and Grafana for logging, alerting, and performance tracking.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Expertise in Docker containerization and orchestration with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including configuring Helm charts, Ingress controllers, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• Database Management: Familiarity with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or other cloud-based databases in a production environment.
