Role Title: Finance
Department/Function: Finance
Reporting Structure: Reports to - Chief Executive Officer
Role Summary:
The Finance role will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in the financial planning, management, and reporting activities of the organization, ensuring robust financial strategies are in place to support the company's growth objectives. This role will play a key role in raising funds, involve overseeing overall accounting process, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance, as well as providing strategic financial advice to senior management. This position will ensure that the organization remains financially sound, compliant with regulations, and prepared to capitalize on growth opportunities. The Finance role will also play a critical role in building a high- performing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to ensure effective resource allocation.
- Analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Present financial reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management, board members, and stakeholders.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead all statutory reporting and compliance efforts, including tax filings, audits, and regulatory submissions.
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal controls.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance and ethical financial practices.
Cost Management & Efficiency:
- Drive initiatives to improve financial performance and operational efficiency across the organization.
- Monitor and control company expenditures to ensure they align with budgetary expectations.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and implement strategies to optimize resource use.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet its obligations and growth needs.
- Oversee treasury operations, ensuring the effective management of working capital, debt, and investment activities.
- Develop strategies for managing the company's capital structure and funding needs.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks that could impact the company's financial health and growth.
- Ensure effective internal control systems are in place to safeguard company assets.
- Work with the leadership team to develop risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Ensure the finance team has the necessary skills, resources, and tools to support the company's financial objectives.
- Set clear goals, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement in team performance.
Strategic Financial Support:
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, CFO, and senior management to guide decision-making.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other corporate finance activities as required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, and marketing) to align financial planning with broader company goals.
Stakeholder Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for financial matters with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and external partners.
Qualifications:
- Work experience in Healthcare/Pharma/Biotech/Clinical Research/CAR-T field mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis in a complex organization.
- Experience with corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic financial planning.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker who can align financial goals with overall business strategy.
