Advanced Software DevOps Engineer


As an Advanced Software DevOps Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing DevOps practices and tools to enable continuous integration and delivery of software solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline the software development and deployment processes. Your expertise will help improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in software development projects.

You will report directly to our DevOps Manager and youll work out of our Hyderabad location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the software development lifecycle by implementing best practices for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation. You will work with software developers, testers, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient software releases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Implement and maintain DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery
Work with cross-functional teams to automate and streamline software development and deployment processes
Design and implement infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and software development

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as computer science, software engineering, or a related field
6+ years of experience in software development and DevOps practices
Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies such as Git, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Services, DB (SQL, Mongo), IAM (OpenID, SAML)
Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Proficiency in Linux/ Unix environments, Event Driven Architecture
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

WE VALUE

Masters degree in computer science or a related field
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet
Knowledge of AI Ops, Grafana/ EFK, Power BI, Self-Service and Agile development methodologies
Familiarity with security and compliance standards in software development
Prefer CKA and Azure Cloud Certified Professionals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
