Job Description

Innovate to solve the worlds most important challenges

Develop firmware for a variety of embedded products. You will create project and technical reports as required and help define product architecture as needed. You will participate in schematic/layout review process and test and evaluate prototypes from initial engineering samples to mass production. You will help maintain firmware servers and develop tools for internal use, including scripts and basic hardware interfaces. Aid in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill the needs of Honeywells customers.

Key Responsibilities

Mainresponsibility for this position is to develop embedded software for firedetection systems comprised of control panels, loop cards and field devices(transponder, smoke detectors) requiring expertise in various technologies likeEmbedded C, C++ programming, RTOS and Linux system programming

Specific TasksInclude:

Developembedded firmware for control panels, loop cards, etc with adherence tocybersecurity.
Embeddedfirmware development using C, C++ and Shell Scripting.
Knowledge ofRTOS (FreeRTOS, QNX etc), Microcontrollers, Memory Handling (Like EEPROM R/W,FLASH R/W, SD Card), RTC, Watch Dog, IO, ADC and Communications (like SPI, I2C,UART, RS232, RS485, USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Arcnet).
Firmware issuedebugging using gdb, JTAG, valgrind etc.
Experience/Understandingof Linux kernel, Linux internals, Virtual memory.
Effortestimation and contribution to program increment planning.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor s ormaster s degree in engineering with specialization in electronics or computerscience.
Scaled Agilebased product development with globally distributed teams.
Good experiencein embedded software design & development.
Understandingof open-source components, CI&CD pipeline
Work experienceto write Unit test cases and understanding of test automation
Understandingof dev tool chains like Jira, BitBucket, Build servers, SonarQube, etc..
Goodcommunication, problem solving & presentation skills.
Fluent inspoken and written English.

WE VALUE

Exposure tosoftware product development life cycle and Agile methodologies would bepreferred.
Industrystandard Tools chain for development - Jira, Visual Studio, Bamboo,Artifactory, etc.
Workingexperience in product portfolio related Fire, security, Automation.
Scaled AgileSAFE Certification
Understandingof cloud technologies and IoT
Experience onrequirement-management, Experience on cross site development.
