Identify applicable quality criteria and define inspection and testing methodologies
Quality Inspection: Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications, standards, and customer requirements
Use various measurement and testing equipment to perform these inspections
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities
Prepare reports summarizing quality performance, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken
Generate documentation for quality audits and certifications
Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance product quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze root causes of quality issues and develop solutions to prevent their recurrence
Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on their quality control capabilities and performance
Conduct audits and assessments of supplier processes and quality management systems to ensure compliance with requirements
Quality Training: Provide training to employees on quality control procedures, standards, and tools
Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement within the organization
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and certifications
Stay updated on changes in quality requirements and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders
Quality Metrics and Analysis: Define and track key quality metrics to measure and monitor process performance and product quality
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement projects and initiatives
Utilize tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to drive continuous improvement efforts
Customer Support: Collaborate with customer service teams to address customer complaints or concerns related to product quality
Investigate issues, implement corrective actions, and communicate resolution to customers
